Snorkeling

Turquoise waters invite snorklers to discover the beautiful coral reefs and colourful marine life on Phuket Island. You can choose a guided snorkel trips or just rent fins and a mask to explore the waters on Patong beach. For Snorkel trips to the Similan National Park you need a full day.

Diving

Scuba Diving in Phuket's Andaman Sea is possible the whole year round. Well equipped daytrip boats operate in the best dive spots around Phuket and Phi Phi Island. Experienced divers have the chance to explore the fantastic underwater world of the Similan Islands during a dive safari trip on a liveaboard.

Golf

There are five top class golf courses on Phuket including the Blue Canyon Country Club near the airport, one of the most prestigious courses in the region. Nearest to Patong are the Phuket Country Club and Loch Palm. For beginners there are quite a few driving ranges on the Island.

Sea Canoe

Enjoy a unique trip to the prehistoric world of the unspoiled Phang Nga Bay and while surrounding huge rocks with bizarre overhangs by canoe or paddle boat.

Phuket Go-karts

A lot of fun for both adults and kids, the Patong Go-Kart Speedway is located in Kathu, just over the hill on the way to Phuket Town. Phone +66 76 321 949 for more info. A new Go-Kart race track has opened up near the Shooting range in Chalong.

Jetski

Jetskiing is a popular activity on many of the busier beaches on Phuket such as Patong and Kata. Jetskis for rent can normally be found directly on the beach and cost around 700 bath for 30 minutes. Please remember to observe safety regulations by staying beyond the swimming areas which are marked by buoys.

Beach Volleyball, Tennis, Squash and Gym

Several Tennis concrete courts and artifical gras courts are available. For squash fans are some courts on the Island. Beach Volleyball can be played on almost every beach. Para Sailing

Enjoy the view from high up behind a speedboat. Parasailing is a fun and thrilling experience which can be enjoyed for around 700 baht with one of the operators found along Patong beach.

Waterski and Wakeboarding

During the high season when the sea is calm you can find speedboat operators along the more popular beaches who will take you waterskiing or wakeboarding. Kite surfing and Wind surfing

Want to learn kite surfing? New kite surfing school started in October 2008 and offering rental as well as teaching. In the low season the monsoon wind is coming from west onshore and in the high season from east and blows into the shelter bay of Chalong.
